Introducing Steve Doorey-Williams BSC (Hons), LSSM (Dip), MISRM
A keen sportsman and fitness enthusiast, Steve graduated in 1992 from Cheltenham University with a degree in Sports Science. Shortly afterwards he went on to teach sports in schools in his native Wales. He was a Royal Marine for several years before moving into the London Fire Brigade, where he has been a fire-fighter for thirteen years.
Steve was a keen sportsman playing many sports at county level. He is still an avid fitness enthusiast and a runner and has completed sub-three hour marathons. He has, himself, benefited from remedial massage therapies when injured. It was that experience, of being helped by other therapists, which inspired him to specialise in sports and remedial massage himself.
Steve studied under the tuition of the renowned sports massage therapist, Mel Cash, at the London School of Sports Massage. Steve is a fully qualified and insured member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage and a member of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council. He has treated patients with numerous injuries as well as those clients who want a massage for relaxation or as a preventative measure against injuries. Steve is passionate about improving the well-being of his clients and helping them recover from injuries that would otherwise prevent them from leading the lives they want, or participating in the sports that they love.
